Kejriwal to contest from New Delhi assembly constituency

New Delhi: AAP's National Convenor and chief Ministerial candidate Arvind Kejriwal will not change his seat and will again contest from the New Delhi assembly constituency, senior AAP leader Ashutosh said.

New Delhi: AAP's National Convenor and chief Ministerial candidate Arvind Kejriwal will not change his seat and will again contest from the New Delhi assembly constituency, senior AAP leader Ashutosh said.

"Arvind Kejriwal is not going anywhere. He will contest election from New Delhi assembly seat and the party will fight elections under his leadership," Ashutosh, who is also the convenor of Delhi unit, told reporters today.

He was responding to a question on whether Kejriwal would contest assembly elections or change his seat, after his name did not figure in the first list of 22 candidates for the upcoming Delhi assembly polls, which was declared yesterday.

The list comprised names of four AAP ministers -- Somnath Bharti, Satyendra Jain, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Girish Soni. It, however, did not have names of Manish Sisodia and Rakhi Birla, the other two ministers in Kejriwal led-AAP government.
