New Delhi: The Congress party on Wednesday fired fresh salvos at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party has become a 'Khaas Aadmi Party' as their leaders have gradually become VVIPs.
Highlighting the electricity bill of Kejriwal's Civil Lines residence which was about Rs 91,000 for the months of April and May, Congress leader Ajay Kumar said that the AAP boss does not practice what he preaches.
"Arvind Kejriwal had said that he won't be using air conditioners. He said that he had directed the CPWD to remove air-conditioners from his official residence. That goes on to clearly show that Arvind Kejriwal does not practice what he preaches. He wants to give the message that his party leads a very 'common' life. But when an RTI is filed, the real truth comes to the fore," Kumar told ANI here.
Kumar further said that the AAP leaders have now turned into VVIPs.
"From electricity bills to.... or high payment of salaries to Delhi Dialogue Commission (DDC) members or the way manpower is being used in his residence, it clearly shows that the Aam Aadmi Party has become a 'Khaas Aadmi Party'," he added.
The general administration department of Delhi Government has furnished the copies of electricity bill of Kejriwal's Civil Lines residence running into Rs 91,000.
The RTI query was filed by Vivek Garg, an advocate and RTI activist.
