New Delhi: A young man was killed when his
Lamborghini car rammed into a railing after hitting a cyclist
while trying to overtake a truck in south-east Delhi early
this morning, police said.
The incident took place on the BRT Corridor in Chirag
Dilli at around 5:15 am and the deceased has been identified
as Anukul Rishi (27), son of a businessman. The cyclist Kisan
(45) was injured in the incident.
A senior police official said Rishi was coming from
Khanpur side and tried to overtake a truck. He allegedly hit
the cyclist and then lost control of the vehicle.
"He rammed the vehicle into the railing. He was not
wearing the seat belt and was injured. He was rushed to AIIMS
Trauma Centre where he was declared brought dead," the
official said.
Kisan is undergoing treatment in AIIMS Trauma Centre.
