New Delhi: The national capital saw light rains on Saturday morning and the weatherman has forecast more showers and a cloudy day ahead.
"The skies will remain partly cloudy and there will be light drizzle and thundery developments throughout the day in some parts of the city," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
He said the drizzle was due to the low pressure building up over south Rajasthan, Gujarat, south Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh that is gradually moving towards Delhi. The cloudy weather accompanied by light rains would continue till Sunday morning, he added.
The minimum temperature was recorded six notches above average at 17.6 degrees Celsius and the maximum is expected to hover around 28 degrees.
The humidity levels will waver between a high of 94 percent and a low of 44 percent, the official added.
