New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday granted bail to a man arrested for allegedly making a call to the police raising a false alarm on the security of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja ordered release of accused Veer Singh, 25, on furnishing a personal and surety bond of Rs 20,000 each.

Singh, a resident of Farsh Vihar in the national capital, was arrested yesterday for making a call to the Police Control Room on Thursday evening claiming that Dikshit's life was in danger.

Singh was produced inside the chamber of the judge where he was granted bail with the condition that he would be released with the furnishing of the bonds and in case he failed to do so, he would be remanded to judicial custody.

Meanwhile, the court allowed a plea by the police to issue instruction to director CFSL to collect voice sample of the accused in order to help the investigating agency to match it with the recorded voice.

According to police, he had made the call to frame up one Lal Singh to whom he owed Rs 20,000.

A case was registered against him under IPC and Information Technology Act.
