New Delhi: A man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in MP club here at North Avenue, police said on Monday.
Vijay (45), a resident of Bhiwani and a vagabond, was found hanging from the railing of stairs at the club this morning, police said.
"This man was regularly spotted in this area. He was last seen at around 10 PM when there was some party at MP`s club. In the morning, his body was found hanging from the railing of the stairs of the club," Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) SBS Tyagi said.
No external injuries have been found on his body, Tyagi said.
Prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide, he said, adding that his family has been contacted and the body sent for postmortem. Further investigations are on, police said.
