New Delhi: A passenger who lost a bag containing goods worth Rs 70,000 at a metro station in south Delhi was restored his belongings by alert security personnel.

The incident occurred last evening at the Malviya Nagar Metro Station when Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Sub-Inspector Mohar Singh spotted an "unattended bag" at the X-ray baggage scanner.

"The bag was brought for security checking and after it was found that it has been forgotten by a passenger, it was handed over intact to the station controller office," a senior officer said.

He said after about two hours, a resident of Saket in south Delhi came back to claim the bag and after due verification it was handed over to him.

"The person said the bag contained stuff worth Rs 70,000," the officer said.
