New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a 40-year-year old man trying to board a train to Indore at New Delhi's Nizamuddin Station on Wednesday night slipped to death after falling into the gap between the platform and the moving train.

According to police, the incident occurred around 9.30 pm when the victim, identified as Bhagwan, tried to board the speeding Rajdhani Express.

"The man suffered multiple injuries and was bleeding profusely. He was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) trauma centre where he succumbed to injuries," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Railways and Crime BS Gurjar said.

The incident created panic among the bystanders, who immediately raised the alarm, and someone pulled the chain to halt its speed.

However, the help from the railway authorities came late and the victim could not be lifted from the tracks immediately.

It took the authorities nearly two hours to saw off the metal steps of the train and take the victim out.

Till then, the man had suffered multiple cuts, lost consciousness and was bleeding profusely.

Sensing incessant delay in arranging an ambulance, the victim was eventually rushed to the AIIMS in a police vehicle.

However, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

Really really really it`s too bad all that happen. These accident took place just because of carelessness of mr. bhagwan. But just because of this a new face of our respected govt came out. No medical help, no ambulance, nothing. What the hell was that? Think are we safe? Not at all. We saw the news ok we feel bad. And now what? Inki ma ki. When will they raise their voice when someone will die like this from our houses. It`s not at all good.

Hey, it not about Mumbai or Delhi, it`s about how much we care. Is this the first incidence, is this the only person dying beacuse of carelessness of authorities. Or is it just in the embedded in our culture to not to care about ourselves and others. There are bigger questions to be answered. We need to create awareness, in public amd imprive our infrastructure. We just cant blame the services. The man I think is equally responsible.

Unfortunately, I was an eye witness as I came to drop my aunts departing through the same train. I was shocked to see the way railways responded to the emergency. The poor man was stuck for more than two hours and all the rescue work was slow due to manual labor. Since I couldn`t stay for too long I looked up the incidence. Im appalled to find out that the man died due to the delay in medical care!

If the situation created in mumbais any station then the person will be never die. There is the hell system in delhi i saw so many times. Mumbai`s people never wait for any emergency service at the time. They will do best n will save the persons life. Curruption is the main matter of the delayed service.
