Manish Sisodia gets additional charge of Law Ministry, Kejriwal govt's third law minister in 7 months
In yet another reshuffle in the Delhi government, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was given the additional charge of the Law Ministry.
New Delhi: In yet another reshuffle in the Delhi government, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was given the additional charge of the Law Ministry.
Sisodia will replace Kapil Mishra, who was handling the sensitive ministry ever since Jitendra Tomar was arrested in a fake degree case in June this year.
Mishra will continue as Minister for Water and Tourism and Delhi Jal Board vice chairman.
The Law Ministry under the AAP government has always been mired in controversies. During the first tenure of the Arvind Kejriwal government, then law minister Somnath Bharti was embroiled in the Khidki Extension raid case, involving African women.
Jitendra Tomar was made the Law Minister when Kejirwal returned as CM for a second time. However, Tomar's tenure was also short lived.
Kapil Mishra was given the additional charge after Tomar, only to be replaced by Sisodia now.
