MCD launches `amnesty-cum-tax settlement` scheme

New Delhi: MCD today launched a special
`amnesty-cum-tax settlement` scheme to benefit property owners
and tax payers for settlement of pending disputes.

For the benefit of property owners and tax payers within
the jurisdiction of MCD, an amnesty-cum-tax settlement scheme
has been launched, a release issued by the civic body said
here.

Those persons who have not paid property tax under unit
area method from the financial year 2004-05 and whose
assessments have been made but have not paid outstanding
arrears are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.

The scheme is valid till March 31, it added.
