New Delhi: Delhi`s civic body on Saturday
terminated contracts of 14 teachers and placed several others
on suspension after they were found absent without intimation
during a random inspection of its schools.
In a bid to give out a strong message that dereliction
of duty and absenteeism will not be tolerated, the Municipal
Corporation of Delhi also sought explanation of the School

Shahdara (North) Zone and Members of the Monitoring Committee
appointed by the Delhi High Court visited the primary school
in Rajeev Nagar and found the sanitary condition of the school

terminated, seven regular teachers were placed under
suspension. It was also found that the School Inspector had
not visited the school for the last four months.
