New Delhi: Against backdrop of reports that
MCD was under-reporting cases of dengue, Delhi government today directed the civic agency to furnish figures of the affected patients reported by various hospitals, including
private ones.
The direction was issued by Health Minister A K Walia at
a meeting called to discuss ways and means to contain cases of
dengue in the city.
A senior health department official said government has
directed all hospitals in the city to provide the exact figure
of dengue-affected people to the government.
As per the latest MCD figure, 526 people have been
afflicted by the disease so far.
MCD has been particularly told to intensify the fogging
operations across the city, said an official who attended the
meeting.
MCD is the nodal agency to keep a count on number of
dengue cases.
