New Delhi: The mercury remained several degrees below normal in the capital on Friday but Delhiites did not get much relief as the humidity was on the higher side.

The maximum was recorded at 35.6 degree Celsius, which is five degrees below normal at this time of the year, as against yesterday's 35.5 degrees. The city also experienced dust storms.

The weatherman attributed the drop in maximum to a cloud cover over the Delhi skies. However, the humidity was on the higher side with the maximum at 63 per cent and minimum at 48 per cent.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.6 degree Celsius, three degrees above normal.

The weatherman predicted that the temperature will be between 28 and 37 degrees tomorrow.

The temperature had shown a declining trend in the past few days after touching a high of 43.7 degrees on April 24. A day later, the minimum had touched a 41-year high of 30. 6 degrees.
