Metro station to sport the look of Qutub Minar`s exterior

New Delhi: Located within the vicinity of a
number of heritage structures, the facade of Qutub Minar Metro
station on the much-awaited Gurgaon corridor will be similar
to the World Heritage site`s exterior.
Dholpur stone-cladding has been done on the exterior of
the station to give it a facade similar to the historical
monument`s exterior, a DMRC official said today.
Hand-made tiles, clay, earthy colors and tones have been
used to make the building match with the local landscaping,
the official said.
The area around Qutub Minar is expected to witness a
flurry of activities once the 14.47 km-long Metro corridor
from the Qutub Minar Metro Station to the HUDA City Centre
(Gurgaon) is opened to the public by next month.
