New Delhi: Delhi woke up to a misty and chilly morning on Sunday forcing people to wrap themselves in jackets and shawls. But a warm day is expected ahead.
"The minimum temperature recorded Sunday morning was two degrees above average at 13.3 degrees Celsius. The slight rise in the mercury level will keep the day warm," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 24 degrees.
"Skies will remain clear and the day will be quite warm, but by evening a light veil of fog will envelop the city, making it cool," the official said.
The humidity levels wavered between 74 and 43 percent.
