NDMC officer murder: BJP MP Mahiesh Girri challenges Arvind Kejriwal for public debate

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party MP Mahiesh Girri has thrown an open challenge to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for a public debate and prove the allegations levelled against him.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had claimed that Girri and NDMC vice chairman Karan Singh Tanwar were involved in the murder of NDMC's Estate Officer-cum-Legal Adviser MM Khan.

Posters were seen across the national capital, in which Girri is seen challenging the AAP chief to have an open debate with him.

The posters challenge Kejriwal of either proving the allegations against Girri or else quit politics.

Girri has also shot a letter to Kejriwal inviting him to Constitutional Club to produce the "evidence" he had against him in the MM Khan murder case, on Sunday at 4 pm.

The BJP MP asked Kejriwal to either prove his charge against him or "resign" from the post of Chief Minister.

"If he manages to prove, then I will quit politics, otherwise he should do so," Girri said.

Girri's challenge comes after Delhi Police rebuked Delhi CM's allegations against Delhi LG Najeeb Jung of shielding two BJP leaders in the murder case of MM Khan.

The Delhi CM in his letter to Jung on Wednesday had accused him of "saving" Girri and Tanwar in Khan's murder.

Khan was shot dead by contract killers last month. Hotelier Ramesh Kakkar, the main accused, had allegedly hired the killers to eliminate Khan.

Khan was allegedly offered a Rs 3 crore bribe by Kakkar to turn the Rs 140 crore hotel dispute in his favour but the officer refused, resulting in his murder.
