Newborn baby found abandoned in train`s toilet

New Delhi: In a shocking case, a newborn
baby girl was found abandoned inside the toilet of a train
which arrived at the Hazrat Nizamuddin station capital who
later died.

The baby, which was unattended, was found by some
passengers inside the Puri-Haridwar Uttakal Express at around
7 pm on Tuesday evening, police said.

"She was found inside the toilet of S9 coach and was
later taken to AIIMS trauma centre where she was brought
declared dead", they said.

A case under section 317 (exposure and abandonment of
child under twelve years, by parent or person having care of
it) of IPC has been lodged.

Police are also searching for the parents of the
child.
