New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas on Wednesday said that there is no controversy over attending 'kavi sammelan' on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday as he has not been invited to the event.
“ If invited, I had agreed to attend 'kavi sammelan' which will be held on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. But, there is no point of that as I have not been invited,” Vishwas said.

The reaction by the AAP leader comes a day after he triggered controversy after he openly praised PM Narendra Modi by saying that, “if PM does well, I have the right to praise him.”
Speaking to an English news channel, senior AAP leader had said, "Narendra Modi is a comparatively better PM than Manmohan Singh."
He had also defended his decision to perform at a poetery session to be held in Surat on the occasion of PM's birthday.
He had said that he had been participating at the event for years and does not find it strange to attend the event honouring his “political rival”.
