New Delhi: The wait for this year's nursery admissions guidelines is likely to continue after the Delhi High Court issued directives putting a stay on issuing fresh guidelines before a final decision on the matters pending before it is taken, as per news reports on Tuesday.
The Delhi High Court has reportedly asked Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung to not issue fresh directives until it gives verdict in the matters related to last year's nursery admissions pending before it.
The hearing for the last year's pending case is scheduled for tomorrow.
The recent orders by the court came even as the parents and the school management were expecting the announcement of the new guidelines this week which were being prepared over last two weeks.
According to a newspaper report, the final changes in the new guidelines were also approved by the L-G.
In May this year, the Supreme Court had quashed the Delhi government's February 27 notification which scrapped the inter-state transfer (IST) category of nursery admissions.
It upheld the guideline issued on December 18 last year in which five points were allotted to the IST category.
