One dead as truck hits tree in Delhi

A 20-year-old driver died while his two brothers were injured after their truck collided with a tree near the Mayur Vihar Phase-I metro station.

New Delhi: A 20-year-old driver died while his two brothers were injured after their truck collided with a tree near the Mayur Vihar Phase-I metro station on Saturday, police said.

Pulkit, Ajay and Abhay of west Delhi`s Mangolpuri were coming from Noida in a Mother Diary truck at 4.30 am when the incident occurred, police said.

"Pulkit was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead while his brothers are said to be out of danger," said a police official.
Pulkit was a native of Kanpur.
