New Delhi: A man who allegedly ran a factory
manufacturing fake aerated drinks in Meet Nagar in northeast
Delhi and supplying them to various areas in the city, was
arrested on Wednesday, police said.
Rakesh Kumar Tomar had been on the run ever since police
raided the factory on July 3 and confiscated over 2,000
bottles, mostly fakes of major soft drink brands.
Four persons and two juveniles were arrested then. A case
of infringement of Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and Patents
Act, 1970, has been filed against the accused.
Police said the gang was also manufacturing drinking
water pouches, possibly for sale in Haryana.
