PC speaks to Gogoi as NDFB killing toll reaches 23

Home Minister P Chidambaram spoke to Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and is understood to have enquired from about the killing 23 people by NDFB militants and asked him to take all possible steps to apprehend the culprits.

During the telephonic conversation, the Home Minister is
believed to have told the Chief Minister to ensure security of
innocent civilians and asked him to take necessary urgent
steps to arrest the guilty.
At least 23 people were killed by NDFB militants in
Assam`s Sonitpur district yesterday.
