New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit said on Friday that the people have experience the impact of governance over the past one year, and will definitely recall how the Congress ran its government in the national capital for 15 years.

"Our position will be improved as people have gained experience about what has happened in Delhi in the past one year," said Dikshit.

"I have full faith in the people that they will definitely recall how the Congress ran the government for 15 years in Delhi and how did it change its picture and social structure. So, I hope that Congress will perform well," she added.

Dikshit had earlier denied reports that she would be campaigning for the Congress in the assembly elections.

Earlier on Thursday, the Congress released the first list of its 24 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections.

The AAP has so far declared 62 candidates for the assembly elections. The BJP is yet to announce its candidates for the 70-member Delhi Assembly, which is likely to go to polls early next month.

Delhi has been under President's rule since February after the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP Government stepped down after 49 days in power.
