New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley on Friday said party veteran LK Advani`s Jan Chetna Yatra would set the political agenda for the country.
Jaitley, opposition leader in the Rajya Sabha, said though the political agenda was being shaped by the course of events, the BJP had decided to influence it.
He said political agenda for the past one year had converged to the issue "good governance and clean politics" -- the theme of Advani`s yatra.
"There are indications that people are setting the agenda," Jaitley said in an apparent reference to the support for anti-graft activist Anna Hazare.
He was speaking at the Jan Chetna Yatra workshop organised by the central BJP media cell.
He called upon party spokespersons from the states to stick to the party`s political agenda in their interactions with media persons.
