PIL against land deals of Vadra firms: HC defers hearing

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday fixed July 9 for hearing the maintainability of a PIL seeking a court-monitored CBI probe into land deals entered into by Robert Vadra firms.

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday fixed July 9 for hearing the maintainability of a PIL seeking a court-monitored CBI probe into land deals entered into by Robert Vadra firms.

"So far we have not applied our mind on the maintainability of the case. Give us some time," a bench comprising Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice R S Endlaw said.

Petitioner in the case M L Sharma, a lawyer, has opposed the grant of licenses to change land use of agricultural plots purchased by companies, in which Vadra has stakes in Gurgaon.

The PIL also seeks a probe into land deals entered into by Skylight Hospitality Pvt ltd and its subsidiaries in Rajasthan.
