According to MeT department, while the minimum temperature settled seven notches above normal at 19 degree Celsius, the maximum temperature was recorded three points above normal at 28.8 degree Celsius.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature had settled three notches above normal at 28.6 degrees Celsius the minimum was recorded as 15.2 degree Celsius.
Weatherman had predicted light rain or thundershower in the evening, but only traces of rain were received in the city today.
Humidity levels were recorded between 96 and 58 percent during the day.
The MeT department has predicted a mainly clear sky for tomorrow morning which is expected to turn partly cloudy from afternoon onwards.
"Mist or shallow fog is expected in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures predicted for tomorrow are 26 degrees Celsius and 16 degree Celsius respectively," a MeT official said.
