New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh
on Sunday called on President Pratibha Patil and discussed matters
relating to the ongoing Parliament session, which has been
marred by frequent disruptions over the issue of corruption.
The meeting lasted for 30 minutes during which the two
leaders discussed the ongoing session of Parliament, a
Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson said.
The meeting assumes significance amid frequent disruptions
by the BJP over the issue of corruption especially in
connection with Commonwealth Games projects and the proposed
fast by Anna Hazare on Lokpal Bill.
They also discussed various other issues of national and
international importance, the spokesperson said.
