Police should not soft pedal probe into communal violence at Trilokpuri, demands AAP

Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party said on Wednesday that the police should not soft pedal probe into communal violence at Trilokpuri, particularly role of former BJP MLA SK Vaid.

It also asked people to ensure peace and calm.

AAP posted on the its official Twitter account: “AAP demands that police should not soft pedal probe into communal violence at Trilokpuri, particularly role of former BJP MLA SK Vaid.”

In another post it wrote: “AAP appeals to people to ensure peace and calm, particularly during religious processions and other such programmes.”

Yesterday, AAP had demanded that Vaid's entry should be banned in Trilokpuri of east Delhi.

"Delhi Police should immediately debar the entry of former BJP MLA Sunil Kumar Vaid in Trilokpuri area," the AAP had said in a statement.

Yesterday too AAP had appealed to the people not to allow anyone in their neighbourhood and anybody known to them to store stones and other dangerous items, which could lead to further trouble.

"Trilokpuri MLA Raju Dhingan has submitted a report about the ground situation to top police officials, and the party hopes it will be acted upon without any delay,” it had said.
