New Delhi: A 50-year-old businessman was allegedly stabbed to death by a former neighbour over an old dispute in central Delhi's Karol Bagh area here on Monday.
Police arrested Mahesh alias Mannu (24) from near Liberty Cinema for the murder within hours of the act.
The businessman Ishwarlal was stabbed repeatedly by Mahesh outside his house in Raigarpura locality even as locals watched in horror though but nobody tried to save him. As Ishwarlal collapsed in a pool of blood, Mahesh fled the spot.
Somebody made a PCR call and he was rushed to Ganga Ram Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The act was caught on CCTV camera installed in the street. Based on inputs, and identification by locals and Ishwarlal's family, police nabbed Mahesh from near Liberty Cinema.
Ishwarlal ran an embroidery unit in lane number 56 in Raigarpura area where he lived with his family.
A police official said that Mahesh, who currently resides in Indrapuri area, told them that he had an old dispute with Ishwarlal when they were neighbours.
