New Delhi: The Public Works Department on Friday constituted a three-member committee to probe the incident of collapse of a portion of a flyover in Pitampura area, a day after it fell and injured three persons.
"We have formed a three-member committee to look into the incident. Committee has been asked to file its preliminary report within three or four days," said a senior PWD official.
Yesterday, a portion of the flyover had collapsed, injuring three persons and damaging two cars.
"We have also asked the contractor to pay compensation to the victims. The committee will also examine the quality of construction material," he said.
The official said that the government will take strict action against those found guilty.
