New Delhi: It was a sunny yet chilly morning in the capital on Sunday with the minimum temperature rising to 9.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above average. The mercury is likely to plummet as rain has been forecast towards the evening.
"The sky is likely to remain clear till afternoon. However, there is possibility of rain or thundershowers towards the evening," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
Humidity stood at a whopping 90 percent in the morning.
"The maximum temperature is likely to be around 24 degrees," the official added.
The maximum temperature recorded Saturday was 22.6 degrees, two notches above the average for the season, and the minimum temperature settled a notch below average at 6.7 degrees.
