New Delhi: The week started off a positive note for Delhiites with showers Monday morning bringing relief from the heat. The Met office has forecast more rain during the day.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is likely to be around 32 degrees.

The rains caused some problems for the commuters. However, Delhi Traffic Police said no major traffic jams were reported.

"The rains came right at the time of going to office, I had to wait for around half an hour to get an auto," said Archana, a commuter on her way to Connaught Place from Sarojini Nagar.
The total rainfall this season since June 1 has been recorded at 122.4 mm against the average of 174.9 mm -- a deficit of 30 percent. IMD officials say the deficit can be recovered in August.
