Six dead in Delhi cylinder blast

Six members of a family, including women and children, died in a cylinder blast Friday, police said.

New Delhi: Six members of a family, including women and children, died in a cylinder blast Friday, police said.

The six victims comprised three women and three children.

Police said the incident occurred in the Jasola area in south Delhi after a burning stove fell on the ground and it led to the blast.

Police have identified five of the family members as Bhuri, 60, Mansheera, 45, Mauseena, 35, Tara, 4 and Ira, two-and-half-year-old.

The police were yet to identify the sixth victim, a child.
