A 17-year-old student was run over by a speeding blueline bus in Northeast Delhi Monday morning, triggering protests by locals.

over by a speeding blueline bus in Northeast Delhi Monday morning, triggering protests by locals.

Aditya Jain, a Class IX student, was hit by the
blueline bus plying on Seemapuri-Fatehpuri route in Usmanpur
area of Northeast Delhi at around 8.00 am when he was on his way
to school, police said.

They said the boy, a student of Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalya
School at Mori Gate, died on the spot.

Enraged by the incident, residents took to the streets
and held protests at the site.

A case of negligence and rash driving has been
registered against the driver.
