New Delhi: Delhi had a hot and sultry Thursday morning and the weather office forecast light showers and thunderstorms later in the evening.

The minimum temperature rose three notches above the average at 28.7 degrees Celsius while the maximum is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
