New Delhi: The capital woke up to a sunny and clear morning Wednesday with the minimum temperature settling at 29.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above average for this time of the season. The weather office predicted an overcast sky and thundershowers later in the day.
"Skies are likely to stay mainly clear but can turn partly cloudy later in the day with possibility of thundershowers in some areas. The maximum temperature Wednesday is expected to be 39 degrees Celsius," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The early morning humidity was 55 percent, around 10 percent lower than Tuesday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures Tuesday were 38.4 and 29.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
