`Super Chor` Bunty arrested in Delhi
Bunty, who is called `Super Chor` by police, was arrested in west Delhi for allegedly barging into the house of his brother and creating ruckus.
New Delhi: Bunty, who is called `Super
Chor` by police, was arrested in west Delhi for allegedly
barging into the house of his brother and creating ruckus,
police said on Monday.
Devender Singh alias Bunty was apprehended from
Vikaspuri allegedly with a knife in his bag after police
reached the spot after receiving a call from his brother, a
senior police official said.
Bunty had allegedly gone to the house where his
brother and parents were staying. The family had severed their
ties with Bunty, one of the "notorious thieves", following his
alleged involvement in robberies.
"We received a call from his brother who claimed that
Bunty was creating ruckus at their house. When we reached the
spot, we saw Bunty leaving the place. We intercepted him and
search of his bag yielded a knife and he was arrested," the
Bunty was in out of prison for 13 years and released
from Amritsar Central Jail last year. After he expressed his
desire to reform himself, a detective agency hired him.
Police gave him the sobriquet of `Super Chor` for his
way of committing crime. He committed robberies across the
country. He was known to stay in five-star hotels as a thief.
