New Delhi: Swine flu cases continued to surge in the national capital as 29 more people tested positive for the H1N1 virus today.

With this the total number of people affected by the virus in the city rose to 362 this year.

"29 swab samples tested positive for H1N1 virus in the last 24 hours. With this the total number of people affected by it in the city now stands at 362," a health official said.

Till date 15 swine flu deaths have been reported in the city this year of which six cases are from outside the city, he said.

Though the World Health Organisation officially declared that the swine flu pandemic is over, it said the number of H1N1 cases, including fatal cases, in India per week continued to increase since mid June this year.
