Tamil Nadu man held for alleged links with LeT

A man, having alleged links with terror group Lashkar-e-Taiyaba and wanted in Ghatkopar and Hyderabad blast cases, was arrested here.

Noida: A man, having alleged links with
terror group Lashkar-e-Taiyaba and wanted in Ghatkopar and
Hyderabad blast cases, was arrested here by a joint team of
Special Investigation Team of Tamil Nadu police and Uttar
Pradesh Anti Terrorism Squad.
Taufiq alias Abdullah Taufiq, who had been absconding
since 2008, was apprehended at Morna bus stand in Noida Sector
24, said a police officer.

"Taufiq alias Abdullah Taufiq hailed from Adriampattinam
in district Thanjavur of Tamil Nadu, He was reported to be
associated with Lashkar-e-Taiyaba and Muslim Defence Force and
some other terrorist groups", the officer added.
He was accused in Hyderabad and Ghatkopar, Mumbai, blast
cases and some other cases involving explosive material.

Noida Police handed him over to SIT Tamil Nadu team who
took him to Chennai to face a trial there.
