New Delhi: It was a sunny morning in the capital on Saturday with the minimum temperature settling at 29.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above average for the season. The met office has forecast that the maximum temperature will shoot up to 40 degrees Celsius.
"The sky will remain clear throughout the day. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius," said an official of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
Humidity level recorded at 8.30 am was 44 per cent.
Friday's maximum temperature and minimum temperature was both a notch below the average for the season at 39.3 degrees and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
