Amit Sharma and his associates Ankit (19) and Sandeep
(23) were arrested from Moti Nagar on Wednesday evening when they were
on way in the stolen car to allegedly commit a crime.

"Sharma and his associates were allegedly involved in the
murder of one Sukhwinder Singh in Haryana`s Hisar on November
26 with whom he had personal enmity. They were also involved
in several other cases," Additional Commissioner of Police
(West) V Renganathan said.

"The trio were on the run for the past 10-11 days. They
were desperately in need of money and they were planning to
commit a robbery in Delhi and then flee to Mumbai."

During interrogation, Renganathan said, Sharma told
police that he came in contact with anti-social elements. He
was earlier arrested also.

"After coming out from jail, he formed a new gang
consisting of Ankit, Sandeep and Ashok and started committing
car jacking, motor vehicle theft and other crimes for their
expenses. Sharma is very fond of travelling with girlfriends
in costly cars. He is also very fond of an actress of a
recently released Bollywood movie and desired to meet her
after reaching Mumbai," Renganathan said.
