Three killed at Old Delhi railway station yard

Three people were killed when a wall in the Old Delhi railway station yard collapsed following derailment of a goods train wagon.

New Delhi: Three people were killed when a wall in the Old Delhi railway station yard collapsed following derailment of a goods train wagon early Tuesday, a railway spokesperson said.

The victims sustained grievous injuries in the incident that occurred while a goods train was shunting in the railway yard past midnight. One of the train wagons derailed and slammed against a nearby wall which collapsed.

The critically injured victims were rushed to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
The victims were believed to be sleeping next to the wall. Their identity was being ascertained, an official said.
