Traders in Sarojini Nagar market withdraw strike

The traders in Sarojani Nagar market withdrew their three-day strike after a meeting with Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

New Delhi: The traders in Sarojani Nagar market on Monday withdrew their three-day strike after a meeting with Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

The traders had downed shutters in protest against New Delhi Municipal Council`s (NDMC) decision to allot 112 street vendors space in the market.
NDMC chairperson Archana Arora, NDMC Secretary DS Pandit and other senior officers of the civic agency were also present in the meeting.
Dikshit assured the traders that issues raised by them will be looked into appropriately.
