Tripathi to head RAW for 2 years from December 30

SK Tripathi, an official of Research and Analysis Wing Administrative Service, will take charge of the external intelligence agency from December 30 for a period of two years.

New Delhi: SK Tripathi, an official of
Research and Analysis Wing Administrative Service, will
take charge of the external intelligence agency from December
30 for a period of two years.

A statement issued today by the Department of Personnel
and Training said The Appointments Committee of Cabinet
cleared the name of Tripathi, an officer of 1972 batch of RAS,
to take charge of Secretary (Research and Analysis Wing),
Cabinet Secretariat from KC Verma, a 1971-batch IPS officer
of Jharkhand cadre who will superannuate on December 30, 2010.

Sanjeev Tripathi, who heads the Aviation Research Centre
(ARC), a part of RAW, was an IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh
Cadre.
