New Delhi: Lauding the 'Woman of Courage' award conferred on the Delhi gang-rape victim, her brother said Saturday that the family would be satisfied only when all the six accused get the death penalty.

"True justice will be the true award," he told IANS.

"We want the death sentence for all the accused, including the juvenile. Only then will we get true justice and will be satisfied," the 20-year-old said.

He added that he would request President Pranab Mukherjee to ensure that the juvenile accused also gets the death penalty.

"He (the president) may use his special power for hanging him with the other five men," he said.

United States' first lady Michelle Obama joined US Secretary of State John Kerry to honour the rape victim by conferring the award to her posthumously in Washington on International Women's Day Friday.

Mukherjee also honoured the young woman with the Rani Laxmi Bai Award in New Delhi.

The 23-year-old woman was brutally gang-raped and assaulted by the six accused in a moving bus Dec 16, 2012. She died Dec 29.

First of all, your disjointed bits of sentences doesn`t make any sense at all! Rapes have increased in New Delhi, without question. In case you are NOT aware, the government has been helping rape victims with a `consolation award`. As for `courage`if you`re foolish enough to question the courage of Nirbyana, need I remind you that she lived through a most heinous gang-rape, sodomy, mutilation, disembowellment, and yet had the courage to fight her attackers!! How dare you question her courage!! SHAME ON YOU!!
