Fort of Daulatabad, Gwalior fort with temples built in different regional styles among other structures, will be featured in a documentary series to be aired on Doordarshan.

New Delhi: Fort of Daulatabad crafted out
of rock on an isolated hill, Gwalior fort with temples like
Teli ka mandir and Sas Bahu ka mandir built in different
regional styles among other structures, will be featured in a
documentary series to be aired on Doordarshan.

The series titled `The Forts of India` will be aired
on Doordarshan every Sunday at 8:30 pm.

"It has been great for all of us to work in the
project. This is an effort to document the rich heritage of
our country," G S Chani, who has jointly produced and directed
the series along with Gyandev Singh, said.

Pushpesh Pant, who has played the role of anchor in
the documentary, said, "For me, it is not only a life-time
achievement, but a life-changing one."

"These forts documented in the series tell the stories
of our country and its rich heritage. You can hear the
footsteps of time in all these," historian Kapila Vatsayan,
who formally launched series here, said.

Each episode of the series has been devoted to one
fort, thus covering 26 different forts from various parts of
the country including Delhi Red Fort and Purana Quila.
