New Delhi: Two Manipuri youths were yesterday attacked by three people, including two juveniles, after they opposed racist remarks by the trio, police said today.

The incident was reported around 9 pm yesterday, from Babulal Chowk at Munirka in south Delhi, a senior police officer said.

Laith Golain (21) and Boylen (21) had gone to a shop in their locality when the trio made racist remarks against them. When the Manipuri youths opposed the remarks, accused started abusive language. A heated argument erupted. The accused then attacked the duo with scissor, stones and iron rods lying at a construction site nearby," a police official said.

The victims were rushed to the Safdarjung hospital, where Laith was discharged after first aid while Boylen is still undergoing treatment with multiple stab injuries, he said.

The accused fled the spot soon after the incident, but were held later, the official said.
