Muzaffarnagar: A 20-year-old girl student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling at her house in Redwa village of the district, police said Monday.
Mohini, a student of BCA, was depressed over some reason for some time. She took the extreme step yesterday. Her father Jaiprakash and brother had died a few years ago, police said.
The body of the victim has been sent for postmortem and further investigations are on.
In another incident, a young married woman allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison over a dispute with her husband at Badkali village in the district, police said today.
The victim Anuradha, had a dispute over some family issue with her husband Deepak Kumar, they said.
Her parents had alleged that she was poisoned by her in-laws, police said.
The body of the victim has been sent for postmortem and further investigations are on.
