New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, the Special Cell of Delhi Police claimed to have arrested a top Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) operative on Monday.
The arrested LeT operative has been identified as 'Irfan' who is said to be involved in the serial blasts in trains in the early 1990s.
Confirming the development, Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) SN Srivastava told reporters, "The alleged LeT terrorist, identified as Irfan, was arrested last week from Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh.”
Irfan, 50, has also worked for the terrorist organisation Indian Mujahideen (IM), he added .
