New Delhi: Apologising to those whom he couldn`t meet at the `janata darbar` on Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said no one had anticipated such an enormous turnout and that everyone was in a hurry to change the country for the better.
Speaking to scribes here, he said, "We are in a hurry to save the country. If we don`t do that the country will not change."
Talking about the fiasco that was the `janata darbar`, he said, "Arrangements had been made for 500-700 people, and we didn`t anticipate the huge turnout."
Although he failed to set the exact date for the next grievance redressal session, he assured it would be a better managed affair.

"Can`t give date of next darbar. We will decide with officers and then release it. But next time we will be more prepared, and may be hold `janata darbar` at a stadium,"he added.
Apologising profusely to the Delhiites who had thronged at the Delhi Secretariat in droves, he said, "We didn`t expect so many people. People have a lot of expectations from us. Many came simply to congratulate us. I apologised to the people because they had come from far and wide and I was unable to address their problems."
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party governemnt was looking into regularising of contractual workers in Delhi.
Earlier in the day, Kejriwal was forced to leave the janta darbar midway as a stampede-like situation had arisen. He then addressed the crowd from the boundary wall of the Secretariat and assured them of action on their problems.
